Nota Biográfica
Eu sou professor na Escola Superior de Saúde do Instituto Politécnico do Porto. Licenciei-me em Química em 2002 e recebi o meu mestrado em 2006 na Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto. Eu trabalhei sob a supervisão de Paula Gomes dedicada ao estudo estereoquímico da ciclização de imidazolidin-4-ona em derivados de primaquina.
Concluí em 2013 o doutoramento em Química Sustentável na Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa sob a supervisão de Cristina Prudêncio, João Paulo Noronha e Zeljko Petrovski. O trabalho intitulava-se "Development of Novel Active Pharmaceutical Ionic Liquids and Salts Based on Antibiotics and Anti-fungal Drugs".
Neste momento a minha linha de investigação é Nova Abordagem Terapêutica Baseada em Líquidos Iónicos:
- Síntese e caracterização físico-química de líquidos iónicos
- API-ILs: líquidos iónicos derivados de ingredientes farmacêuticos ativos
Interesses de Investigação
Síntese peptídica; Desenvolvimento de novos medicamentos; Análise estrutural de moléculas orgânicas; Resistência a antibióticos; Aplicações terapêuticas de líquidos iónicos.
