Maria do Rosário Fidalgo Martins

Research interests: Biotechnology of natural products, namely from marine cyanobacteria. Ecotoxicology of cyanobacteria.

Biographical Note:

 Rosário Martins is professor at the School of Health of the Polytechnic of Porto (ESS|P.PORTO) and investigator at the Interdisciplinary Center of Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR|UP). She holds a PhD in Biology (2006) a MSc in Hidrobiology (1999) and a BSc in Biology (1996) all by the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto. Her main research interest is focused on the biotechnological applications of natural compounds, namely from cyanobacteria. Rosário Martins is author and co-author of several papers in international scientific periodicals with referees and book chapters. She has been also responsible for the supervision and co-supervision of MSc and PhD students, member of the organization committee and scientific committee of international conferences, member of PhD and MSc evaluation committees and reviewer for peer-reviewed scientific journals.
