Nota Biográfica:
Joana Santos is professor in Environmental Health Department of School of Health of Polytechnic of Porto (ESS | P. PORTO) since 2009. She is integrated at Center for Translational Health and Medical Biotechnology Research (TBIO) and at the Biomechanics and Health Unit of Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (INEGI/LAETA). She holds a PhD in Occupational Safety and Health from the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto with a Thesis about State of Fatigue in Assembly Work. She has a degree in Environmental Health and a MSc in Occupational Safety and Hygiene Engineering. Main research interests are related to the implications of job design and task allocation on human health and well-being (study of physical, biomechanical, cognitive and psychosocial characteristics of work); design human-centered workplaces (industry 4.0 and 5.0).
She published papers in the domain of Human Factors and Ergonomics, Safety and Occupational Hygiene, and Environmental and Occupational Health.
