The School of Health of the Polytechnic University of Porto will be opening a new MSc program in Translational Health (MiTH Program).
The MiTH Program was built to address challenges of translational basic research results into healthcare, population health and bioindustries, firmly adhering to the principle "from bench to bedside, and beyond and back". Our program emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, respecting the highest standards of scientific, ethical, academic and professional quality, particularly important for translational health research, while developing a global vision of health problems in the world, which put to practice in the 3 branches to be consulted in the curricular plan below.
The MiTH Program will be held at the School of Health within the scope of RISE-Health @ TBIO (Center for Translational Health and Medical Biotechnology Research). Depending on the curricular unit, some classes may take place remotely (blended learning). Classes will be taught in English, unless all students are Portuguese.

a) Holders of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in the following areas of study (Portaria nº256/2005 de 16 março): Health, Personal services (Sports and similar), Environmental protection (Public Health Services and similar), Life sciences, Physical Sciences (Chemistry and related), Computer Science, Engineering and related techniques (Food Engineering and related), and Social and behavioral Sciences (Psychology and related). b) Hold a foreign higher academic degree in one of the areas mentioned in paragraph a) that is in accordance with the Bologna process or is recognized by the ESS Technical-Scientific Council (CTC) as satisfying the objectives of the degree; c) Hold an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognized by the ESS CTC as attesting the ability to carry out this cycle of studies.
